The Valley Art Gallery, an artists’ cooperative, was founded in 1976. The goal of the Founders was to bring fine art to the Salinas Valley and Central Coast and now , 30 years later, the Gallery is at its best. The Gallery is located at 218 Main Street, Old Town, Salinas, and is staffed by the artists. The work of 40 members includes paintings in all media, collage, sculpture and ceramics, jewelry photography, glass, weaving and fiber art. Each month a featured artist show is held with a reception open to the public held during the First Friday Art Walk in Old Town. The Gallery looks forward to many more years serving the artists and community. |
